Stay on top of your health by choosing our Comprehensive Well Person Health Screen.
This thorough blood test checks important aspects of your health, such as blood count, kidney and liver function, cholesterol, blood sugar, iron levels, thyroid function, and key minerals.
With over 40 biomarkers, this test gives you useful insights into your health and can highlight results that might need a closer look or a chat with your healthcare provider.
Your sample is tested by The Doctors Laboratory (TDL), a top UK medical lab. Results are usually ready within 3 working days after your sample arrives.
The price includes professional blood collection at participating Superdrug Health Clinics.

What Does the Well Person Health Screen Test?

The profile covers several important areas of health.

Full Blood Count

Measures:
  • Haemoglobin
  • Red blood cells
  • White blood cells
  • Platelets
  • Haematocrit
A Full Blood Count can help check for conditions like anaemia and other issues with your blood cells.

Kidney Function

Includes:
  • Urea
  • Creatinine
  • eGFR
  • Sodium
  • Potassium
  • Chloride
  • Bicarbonate
These markers show how well your kidneys are working and help check your fluid and electrolyte balance.

Liver Function

Includes:
  • ALT
  • AST
  • Gamma GT (GGT)
  • Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP)
  • Bilirubin
  • Albumin
  • Total Protein
  • Globulin
These markers tell you about your liver health and can point out results that might need more attention.

Cholesterol & Cardiovascular Health

Includes:
  • Total Cholesterol
  • HDL Cholesterol
  • LDL Cholesterol
  • Non-HDL Cholesterol
  • Triglycerides
These measurements show your lipid profile and help assess your heart health.

Diabetes Screening

HbA1c shows your average blood sugar levels over the past two to three months.
It helps spot blood sugar levels linked to prediabetes or Type 2 diabetes and can also track glucose control if you already have diabetes.

Iron Stores

Ferritin shows how much iron your body has stored.
Low ferritin can mean you have low iron, while high levels can happen for several reasons, like inflammation or some liver conditions.

Thyroid Function

Includes:
  • TSH
  • Free T4
These hormones help check how your thyroid is working and can show if it is underactive or overactive.

Bone & Metabolic Health

Includes:
  • Calcium
  • Phosphate
  • Magnesium
  • Uric Acid
These biomarkers help check your mineral balance and some parts of your metabolic health.

Who Is This Health Screen Suitable For?

This test is a good choice for adults who want a full picture of their health, especially if you:
  • Want a proactive health check
  • Are interested in preventative healthcare
  • Want to monitor cholesterol
  • Have concerns about blood sugar
  • Want to check thyroid function
  • Are concerned about iron levels
  • Have a family history of certain health conditions
  • Want baseline health results
  • Are monitoring their general wellbeing
This test is for screening and monitoring only. It does not replace a check-up with your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.

What Makes This Health Screen Different?

Instead of checking just one part of your health, this test looks at several groups of biomarkers all at once.
It provides information relating to:
  • Blood health
  • Kidney function
  • Liver function
  • Cholesterol and cardiovascular risk
  • Blood glucose
  • Iron stores
  • Thyroid function
  • Mineral and metabolic health
This makes it a convenient choice if you want a broader health check instead of a single blood test.

Professional Blood Collection Included

Your test comes with professional blood collection at a participating Superdrug Health Clinic.
After you order, you’ll get instructions on how to book your appointment.
A qualified healthcare professional will take your blood sample and send it to The Doctors Laboratory (TDL) for testing.
Remember to bring your sample collection kit to your appointment.

Laboratory Testing by The Doctors Laboratory

The Doctors Laboratory (TDL), a trusted UK medical lab, will analyse your sample.
You’ll usually get your results about one working day after the lab receives your sample.
Keep in mind that turnaround times may vary depending on when your sample arrives and how quickly the lab processes it.

Do I Need to Fast?

You might be asked to fast before your appointment, depending on your test and personal needs.
If you need to fast, you’ll get clear instructions before your blood collection.
Follow the preparation instructions that come with your test, so you only fast if needed.

Understanding Your Results

Your results will include the relevant laboratory reference ranges.
A result outside the reference range does not always mean you have a medical condition, and a normal result does not rule out every possible health issue.
It’s important to look at your results together with your symptoms, medical history, medications, and other health information.
If you have unusual results or any health concerns, talk to your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.

Appointment & Cancellation Information

The test price covers blood collection at a participating Superdrug Health Clinic.
Appointments depend on clinic availability.
If you can’t make your appointment, let the clinic know as soon as you can.
  • If you give more than 24 hours’ notice, you can cancel or reschedule without any charge.
  • If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, there’s a £25 cancellation fee.
  • If you don’t show up and don’t let us know, there’s a £25 non-attendance fee.

Medical Disclaimer

This Well Person Health Screen is intended for screening and health-monitoring purposes only. It does not constitute a medical diagnosis and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
The tests included in this profile assess specific blood biomarkers and do not provide a complete assessment of your overall health. A normal result does not rule out all medical conditions, and an abnormal result does not necessarily mean that a disease or medical condition is present.
Results should be interpreted in the context of your symptoms, age, medical history, medications, lifestyle and other relevant clinical information by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
If your results indicate that further investigation may be appropriate, you should consult your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.
This test is not intended for emergency assessment. If you are experiencing severe or potentially life-threatening symptoms, seek urgent medical attention.
